The Outdoor School was founded in 1993 and has grown from a small 2 man operation into India's largest and most innovative climbing wall builders and designers. It launched its awareness program through its rock climbing courses and pump-out - a series of boulder competitions, the first of its kind in India. Rock climbing has been revolutionised with the advent of artificial climbing walls in Europe and America. As a result, a parallel form of competitive climbing known as sport climbing has evolved.
Keeping abreast with these developments abroad as well as responding to an explosion in the popularity for this sport in India. The Outdoor School being the only one of it’s kind in the sub-continent, is in the forefront of building artificial climbing walls. |

Many types of organisations including schools, universities, the armed services, sport complexes / stadium, health clubs and mountaineering institutes are gearing up their premises with suitable artificial climbing walls. In general, sport climbing and artificial climbing walls are new to most of our customers. Before getting a wall constructed, several important decisions have to be made such as, what kind of walls to construct, where to site it and what kind of safety measures have to be taken. |

The Outdoor School is the pioneer and the only successful climbing wall company in the Sub-continent. We have built forty artificial climbing walls in the past seven years for various units of the Army and paramilitary forces, Indian Mountaineering Foundation, West Bengal Mountaineering and Adventure Foundation, National Adventure foundation - mountaineering institutes in Darjeeling, Uttarkashi, Manali and educational institutions all over the country.

We have an experienced and well a qualified team of structural engineers, architects, site supervisors and climbers who assist in the creation of the climbing walls. |
